Marriage Using Vedic and KP Astrology

The traditional approach of match making is:

Step 1: study individual patrika of bride and groom to understand their merits to get married and stay married followed by
Step 2: studying both patrikas together to understand their compatibility together primarily through guna milap. As far as guna milap is considered, at least 18 guna should match for a marriage to work (24-32 gunas is considered good match and 32-36 guna matching means identical personality of a bride and groom).
However,
Most of the astrologers give way too much weightage to guna milap. In my opinion, traditional approach of guna milap is not very relevant now and should be modified for each case. When rishi Parashar wrote the vedic astrology around 5000 years ago, one of the main objectives of marriage was to produce (male) children. In most cases, married women were not even allowed to work (at least until husband was physically and mentally fit and was able to provide for the family). Hence, the 8 different tests were designed mainly to test the husband-wife compatibility from that perspective. For example: maximum of 8 points (which constitutes to 25% of a total 36 points) were given to check the genetic compatibility of the bride and groom to ensure they are capable of producing healthy children. However, in today’s world with advances in medical sciences it has become feasible for the couples to produce healthy children even with somewhat non-matching genetic material. Moreover, it may not be even couple’s priority to produce children (for example: in case of second marriage, if both parents have kids from previous marriage then they may not even want additional children from this marriage). In such case, it doesn’t matter whether the prospective couple has all 8 points matching or 0 points matching. I can provide similar explanation for rest of the 7 tests as well.
Hence, in my opinion and experience, traditional approach of guna milap cannot be used “as is” these days. Also, it makes it even more important to study both patrikas individually (by Krishnamurthy Paddhati) and combined in much more details before coming to the conclusion whether marriage will work or not.
Career Using Vedic and KP Astrology

A lot can be figured out regarding career through a horoscope. Types of jobs or businesses suitable to a person, right time to make a career move, layoffs, promotions, income through side businesses, to list a few. I would like to emphasis again on the fact that the horoscope predicts only daiva (fate) portion of the life which is approximately 2/3 rd of the total influence and not karma (free will) which is approximately 1/3rd of the total influence. Hence, if a horoscope does not indicate success in a certain career path, it does not necessarily mean one will surely fail. Person will have to put much more karma (efforts) to succeed as compared to a person who has such prospects in the horoscope. It makes sense to look into horoscope to see what kind of career your horoscope supports and then decide whether interests are aligned with the stars and a person wants to take chances in something that fate does not support. If a person comes to me for career guidance or guidance on marriage, I generally look into health aspect as well. On a grand scheme various aspects are interlinked and especially person’s mental and physical health plays a big role in marriage and career.

Health Using Vedic and KP Astrology

Every house represents certain body part(s) and every planet represent diseases. Depending on planet strength, position in horoscope, overall horoscope and current Dasha-Bhukti-Antardasha, it is feasible to predict person’s health problems. Person’s lifestyle, eating habits, life events and stress levels can aggravate or alleviate diseases. In my experience, KP astrology is very accurate in predicting person’s health problems. If you are worried about your health problems and need my consultation, please provide me some background information on life events so I can provide precise predictions.
